Marcel Bitsch’s “20 Etudes for Trumpet” is one of the cornerstones of 20th-century trumpet literature, demanding a variety of skills from complex rhythms to complete control over the instrument’s range. Bitsch’s Brew is a reimagining of several of these etudes for trumpet quartet, weaving together Bitsch’s most well-known themes into a new, exciting work in the trumpet ensemble competition repertoire.
